Rusia a fost invitată să sărbătorească pe 6 iunie aniversarea a 80 de ani de la debarcarea Aliaților în Normandia, a informat Agence France-Presse, citând organizatorii ceremoniei.

„Având în vedere împrejurările, președintele rus Vladimir Putin nu este invitat. Cu toate acestea, Rusia este invitată și va fi reprezentată pentru a onora importanța participării și sacrificiului poporului sovietic, precum și contribuția acestuia la victoria din 1945”, au anunțat organizatorii.
